Q: G-Cap not attaching to game, the overlay is not displayed.

A: Try one of the following:

1. Anti-virus and/or firewall software may block G-Cap because of the method it uses to attach itself to games. Create a rule for G-Cap to be allowed to operate.

2. Make sure the game's graphics API is supported. Direct Draw and DirectX 8 or older are not supported.

3. Make sure "Enable Overlay" option is checked.

Q: Can I use 3rd party software to play/edit videos recorded with G-Cap's video codec?

Q: Why are videos recorded with G-Cap's video codec large in size?

A: G-Cap is a real-time video/audio capturing software therefore compressing video frames can have severe impact on the performance of both the game and G-Cap, especially on older machines. The recorded video should be, quality-wise, lossless in order to be edited and compressed properly.Lossless quality implies bigger files.
